Paul Ream Trust Fund
Paul Ream has been an anchor in Provo for many years. Early in his life, Mr. Ream became a successful businessman in Provo, opening a grocery store on West Center
Street and later converting a closed ice skating rink on 200 West into another grocery store.
As his stores became increasingly successful, he opened several other new stores in Utah; however he never forgot the community that supported his start in the grocery business.
Mr. Ream became a very generous gift and donation giver for many groups throughout the community, in particular the senior citizens of Provo and Provo Parks and
Recreation Department. He has helped the American Indians in our region, veterans groups and continues with generous acts to those in need.
In 1973 Mr. Ream donated $97,100 to a trust fund for the IProvo Senior Center and later in 1984 he contributed $100,000 for what is known as the "Paul Ream
Wilderness Park".
Throughout the years, the trust has increased substantially, allowing funds to continually filter into the senior citizen programs. It is rare to find people of such a generous nature, and our community is the benefactor of Paul Ream's genuine giving.
