Provo Police Department Honored Annually Through Foundation Fund

Certainly among the various departments in the city, the Police Department stands out as a department that gives outstanding service to the citizens of Provo.  This was acknowledged in a most generous way by an anonymous donor who created a $25,000 endowment, of which the interest earned on the endowment fund is used to give an annual award to an exceptional police officer who has performed exemplary and meritorious service for and on behalf of the citizens of Provo. The Baker Exemplary Service Endowment Fund was created in 1990 and is regarded as one of the most prestigious awards given annually to a police officer.

This is an excellent example of a citizen seeing the value of the outstanding men and women who make up the Provo City work force and then creating a way each year to honor a particular employee. If you would like to donate to this fund please click on Donation Form located on the left column.
